Why Teach?

I'm pretty fortunate to have understood all that I've taken so far, and I truly enjoy the material I am learning in college. I want to help others find the same success that I have and hopefully reduce anxiety over some harder courses. I like Penji because it is super flexible and is really good at connecting students to the best tutors.

I'm from Lakewood, CO. I chose CU because I love the campus, and I wanted to stay fairly local. I chose neuroscience because I have always been interested in the brain. When I was in first grade, I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor, and I had to have surgery. I continue to get it checked on, and the constant exposure to the medical field and neurologists really fueled my passion.

Outside of studies I spend my time camping, hiking, skiing, and seeing live music. There is plenty of good hikes in Colorado, but a good local spot to spend outdoors is boulder creek or gross reservoir.

My current plan is to pursue graduate school next year. I plan to work as a research assistant for the year before grad school
